Ed, WD7Y, did some research and came up with these interesting facts:

Hi All,

Well I have just looked at the ARRL WEB page and looked under contests.

Field Day was held June 26, 2004. Three members of the RENO QRP Group
went to the San Fransisco bay in Bruce Thee's sailboat the S/V Christina.
Bruce Thee W7BWT, Craig Sande AE7I, and Ed Dybowski WD7Y operated in
the bay as FD class EB 1C under Ed's Call WD7Y/MM.

In 2003, we operated with Bruce W7BTW , Ed WD7Y, and Lou Hlousek W7HV.
Our exchange was EB 1C as W7HV/MM. We came in third place last year with
a score of 1430 with 143 QSO's in the CI Class.

This year 2004 we came in third place again:

#1 AA6DP 3374 score, 915 QSOs LAX 4 Ops
#2 N8LXR 2480 score, 667 QSOs EPA 1 Op
#3 WD7Y 1420 score, 142 QSOs EB 3 Ops
The first and second place winners of this
    class did not operate QRP...........

There were three other QRP entrees in 2004:

#11 K7CN 580 score 58 QSOs 1 Op
#12 VE3WMB 570 score 57 QSOs 1 Op
#37 N3AWS 100 score 20 QSOs 1 Op
There were 57 listings in the 1C class,
I feel that we did very well.

Last year's (2003) scores were:

#1 AA6DP 2928 score 808 QSOs 5 Ops
#2 W3ET 1486 score 507 QSOs 24 Ops
#3 W7HV 1430 score 143 QSOs 3 Ops
We had one more QSO over last year.

AA6DP is a very strong contester.
  He was #1 in 2004, 2003, and 2000
  In 2002 he placed #2.

I hope this is of interest to the menbers of the RENO QRP Group.
